The Secret Waterfall - Oman
If we were to give this trip another name, it would be “Hints of Paradise”. The secret waterfall will take you to one of, and possibly the only, waterfall running year round in Arabia. With a height of about 80ft, this pristine waterfall is a 4-5 hours hike through big boulders, large fresh wadi pools and narrow rocky passages.
The trip starts on Thursday where the team will arrive to one of the Eastern Hajjar wadis to set up camp near a big pool. The team works together to set up the camp, cook and eat dinner together. The first night is always the relaxing night, where people will have a chance to meet each other and mingle around.
On Friday the team will wake up with the sunrise and after eating breakfast and packing up the camp they start their journey into the Wadi. It will take about 4 to 5 hours of canyoning, swimming, bouldering and some free climbing before getting to the waterfall where the team will have about an hour to rest and swim before start the journey back. This trip is all about teamwork and depending on each other, trusting one another and most importantly, be there for one another. This trip does not have elevation gain so it is considered easy to moderate but still require a good physical fitness level and endurance. This trip is best conquered in the summer and fall months and can be very cold in the winter and spring.
The trip ends on Saturday after spending the night on one of the white sand beaches facing the Gulf of Oman. The Estimated time of arrival to Muscat is around 1 PM on Saturday.
