About the Experience
Bandar Khairan is a stretch of coast south of Muscat broken into small bays, rocky inlets, and beaches with no road to them. You paddle from one to the next, swim and snorkel when you stop, and set up camp on the sand each evening. On the second day, if the sea is calm, we paddle out to Mermaid Cove. Evenings are a BBQ and a fire on the beach, and for those who want it, a night paddle when conditions allow. The last morning is a two to four hour paddle back to the start, depending on your pace.
What to Bring
Water shoes, swimwear and quick-dry clothes, a change of clothes, sandals for camp, a hat, gloves for paddling, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, a headlamp, a 2 liter water bottle, a towel, a waterproof phone case, and any personal medication. Bring your own sleeping bag and mat, or rent both from us for OMR 15.
