About the Experience
The first night is spent camped beside the wadi. In the morning we head up the canyon on foot and in the water, swimming through pools, climbing over boulders, and squeezing through narrow passages, until the walls open onto the waterfall. After lunch and a swim at its foot, we walk back out and drive to the coast at Ras al Hadd, one of the places in Arabia where sea turtles come ashore. Dinner is on the beach, and late that night we go out with a turtle expert to look for them. Sightings depend on the turtles, so we cannot promise one.
What to Bring
Hiking boots with ankle support or canyoning shoes, quick-dry leggings or shorts and T-shirts, swimwear, a small dry bag for your phone and valuables, a headlamp, a 2 liter water bottle, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sandals for camp, and any personal medication. Bring your own sleeping bag and mat, or rent both from us for OMR 15.
