Ali Husain founded Husaak in 2012, an early voice for adventure tourism in Arabia. He came to it the long way round. Trained as a petroleum engineer, he spent years in oil and gas: on the ice in Alaska and the Arctic, offshore in Abu Dhabi, and across the deserts of Oman. That work still shapes how we operate: respect for safety, discipline in delivery, patience for difficult terrain at scale.

He left the energy sector with a quiet conviction: that nature and adventure could stand on their own as a serious economic story for the region, not a side note to oil and gas. The argument has since helped governments and stakeholders see outdoor tourism as a real pillar of diversification, not just recreation.

Working with government partners in Oman and Saudi Arabia, Ali has opened new ground, shaping AlUla into one of the Kingdom's flagship destinations, activating Aseer, taking on concessions like Wadi Dayqah, and unlocking places as quietly powerful as Majlis Al Jinn. Across master planning, product development, and operations on the ground, he holds strategy and execution together, building destinations that are commercially viable and environmentally responsible, and positioning Arabia as a global home for adventure, exploration, and sustainable tourism.

As Partner and COO, Khalid has played a pivotal role in our growth from a small tour operator to a company now serving over 30,000 guests annually across Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Khalid's journey began organically. He first crossed paths with Ali on one of the first trips in Oman and never looked back. His career path is as varied as the terrain he explores: a film and TV commercial producer before HUSAAK, his professional background spans finance, consulting, marketing, and software development. This rare combination of creative, technical, and commercial expertise gives Khalid a multidisciplinary edge, one that has proved invaluable in shaping our identity, brand, and operational strategy as the company has grown.

Khalid serves on the Executive Committee and leads the group's Finance, Corporate Services, and Brand Experience functions, a natural fit for someone equally at home crunching numbers and hanging off a cave wall with a camera in one hand and a rope in the other. He draws on his professional background to develop travel concepts and build partnerships with local tourism stakeholders.

For Khalid, It was never just a business venture. As he puts it: "Being part of this concept and seeing the very real impact it's having on people's lives has been such a gratifying experience for me." That sense of purpose, making the outdoors accessible and positioning Arabia as one of the world's great travel destinations, is what continues to drive him.

Hassan is a tourism and adventure operations professional with extensive experience in building and managing destination experiences across Saudi Arabia. With a background in Medical Engineering and a lifelong passion for the outdoors, he brings an unusual combination to his work: the systematic precision of an engineer and the instincts of someone who has spent years in the field. That combination, applied to adventure tourism, hospitality, and destination development, is what gives his leadership its particular edge.

Since joining in 2019, Hassan has played a key role in the company's expansion across the Kingdom. Starting as an adventure guide, he quickly progressed into leadership roles and now serves as Partner and KSA Country Manager. Over that time, he has helped shape the Saudi operations from its earliest form, building the programs, partnerships, and on-the-ground infrastructure that now underpin the company's presence across the country.

For Hassan, the move from adventure guide to Country Manager is not incidental. Saudi Arabia's outdoor landscape is being introduced to the world at a rare moment in the country's history, and the people who understand it from the ground up, who have walked the terrain and mapped the routes, are the ones best placed to shape what it becomes.

Philip Wells helps run HUSAAK's outdoor education program, developing and delivering outdoor learning across Saudi Arabia's desert and mountain country. An expedition leader by background, he handles program planning, risk management, staff training, and the day-to-day of trekking, camping, and wilderness trips. His work has taken him through some of the region's most remote terrain, helping people build confidence, resilience, and leadership in places that ask something of them. He holds Wilderness First Response and Safeguarding Level 3 certifications, and keeps safety at the center of everything he runs. Off the clock, Philip climbs, abseils, and hikes across the Gulf.

Mahdiyeh Shirin Ebrahim runs HUSAAK's marketing in Oman, end to end. Strategy, branding, influencer work and collaborations, content scheduling, budgeting, copywriting, video editing, and getting all of it out into the world. An Iranian filmmaker with an MBA and a degree in computer engineering, she brings more than seventeen years of professional experience, and has been part of HUSAAK for close to three years. What she likes about the work is what sits underneath it: HUSAAK sells the moment a person steps out of their comfort zone, goes after an adventure, and pushes a little past what they thought they could do.

Muhammad Kamal leads sales at HUSAAK, holding the partnerships, client relationships, and business development that move across Saudi Arabia and the wider region. He brings more than fifteen years in hospitality, tourism, and sales across Saudi Arabia, Oman, and North Africa. Before HUSAAK he worked as a resort general manager and held sales and marketing leadership roles with Hilton, running multinational teams and looking after guests from all over. What keeps him in the work is connecting people to landscape and culture in a way that lasts. Outside the office, Muhammad plays music, swims, travels, and heads for remote, open country.

Yahya Al-Saadi plans trips and handles reservations for HUSAAK in Oman, working with travelers, corporate clients, and partners to put each journey together from first inquiry to final detail. He came up through tourism and hospitality, with earlier work in reservations and revenue management at Jumeirah Muscat Bay, and he pairs that operational side with a real feel for the country. His days run from weekend adventures and school expeditions to team-building and events. Showing people Oman's mountains, wadis, deserts, and coast is the part he likes most. Outside work, Yahya is out exploring new places and hiking himself.

Mohammed Al Hinai works across sales and reservations for HUSAAK in Oman, shaping trips with a steady eye on quality, detail, and keeping things authentic. He has had a hand in building and running journeys that connect people to Oman's landscapes and its culture, and he knows them from both sides, the planning and the execution. He started from the ground up and stayed hands-on, which is why the team trusts him to take an idea and see it through, start to finish. Outside work, Mohammed plays guitar, loses himself in online gaming, and explores new places on his own terms.

Ibrahim manages sales and reservations for HUSAAK, working across both corporate and leisure travel in the Gulf. He helps clients plan and book outdoor adventures across Saudi Arabia, from hiking, kayaking, and camping to school programs and team-building trips for companies. Much of his work is in the detail: handling inquiries from individual travelers and corporate partners, shaping each plan to fit, and keeping reservations running smoothly through any changes after booking. He sees these trips as more than logistics, the kind of time outdoors that builds leadership, teamwork, and a connection to the land.

Ahmed Mohamed Doul keeps HUSAAK running behind the scenes as its Admin and Odoo Specialist. He manages the company's Odoo platform across finance, HR, sales, and operations, the system that holds the day-to-day together. His job is to keep the office side and the field side in step, working closely with the finance team so the numbers and the logistics line up. When the trips leave on time and the back end holds, a good part of that is Ahmed's doing.
