THE ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Jeddah and check into your local hotel for a relaxing night after your international flight.

Day 2: After breakfast set off on a day of sightseeing, starting with the famous floating Fatima Al-Zahra Mosque. Built in 1985 on the Northern tip of Jeddah’s waterfront, the mosque covers an area of 2,400 sq m. The majestic structure is anchored to the sandy shore by a low-walled walkway sprawled across the Red Sea. The group will visit the historical Al Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and open-air museum. Explore the Hijazi houses that have been turned into boutique shops, cool cafes and interesting museums. Sample traditional Saudi cusine at a local restaurant before visiting the Al Faisaliyah district. Tayebat Museum offers a fascinating look into Jeddah’s long and cosmopolitan past. The museum is housed in a multiroom complex that re-creates the traditional Hijazi architecture of the old city, with bay windows overlaid with intricate wooden lattice work and ornate coral masonry

Day 3: It’s an early start as you check out and travel 595 km through Medinah to Khaybar. Visit the lava fields and Umm Jirsan cave, some of the best treasure sites we have found in Saudi Arabia. This evening the group will check into a local campsite and relax under the stars.

Day 4: Today the group will drive 281 km to AlUla, one of the Arabian Peninsula’s oldest cities. Nestled at the crossroads of history where The Silk Road and The Incense Route converged. The first stop is Saudi Arabia's inaugural UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll encounter a mesmerizing landscape adorned with over 110 impeccably preserved tombs, set amidst the enchanting desert backdrop. Immerse yourself in the captivating history and culture of AlUla as you explore this historic treasure trove. This evening the group will check into their hotel and freshen up before venturing to Elephant Rock and onto AlUla’s old town, explore the artisan shops and sample traditional Saudi cuisine.

Day 5: This morning the group will join the Dedan and Ikmah tour, the next stop is the Sharan Nature tour with picnic lunch. Stretch your legs on the Hidden Valley hike and visit the iconic Arc Rock before driving to Gharameel, one of the best stargazing spots in AlUla. Husaak’s star guide will take you through a journey through the skies and then you can rlex around the campfire and tick into tradtional Saudi cuisine.

Day 6: Leisurely breakfast and check out before driving 224 km to Wadi Al Desah / Al-Disah. Explore the local area and set up camp for a night of wild camping under the stars. explore and set up camp before sunset.

Day 7: Breakfast and pack up camp as you begin your journey towards Riyadh. Drive southeast, around 4 hours to a local campsite near Hasat Al Dab.

Day 8: This morning, pack up camp and drive 350 km North to Hail, approx. 4 hours. Spend the day exploring the main ppints of interest from Antarah Ibn Shaddad Rock, named after the famous 6th-century poet and warrior Antara bin Shaddad Al-Absi, who used to meet his love Abla in its shade, to A'arif fort. Perched on the top of a mountain in the heart of Hail city, A’arif Fort was built to guard the city against possible enemies.The first construction of the fortress was made during the reign of the Al-Ali family at the end of 17th century AD. The group will check into a local hotel this evening.

Day 9: The last leg, drive 400 km southeast to reach Riyadh. Check into your hotel and freshen up before meeting the group for an evening of sightseeing. Explore the historical Al-Masmak Fortress district and enjoy an evening walk in Souq Al Zal before sampling some local Saudi Cusine in Najd Village.

Day 10: Riyadh - Edge of the World and Dir'iyya. Morning departure for the Edge of the World, spend the day exploring the scenic site complete with picnic lunch. Return to Riyadh in the late afternoon. This evening is dedicated to Dir'iyya, the ancient capital of the first Saudi kingdom, the group will enjoy dinner at a local farm with a local family, tuck into home cooked food. Tonight the group will visit Turaif District, a World UNESCO Heritage site.
