Our adventure experts began exploring Saudi Arabia in 2017, our expansion to the Kingdom shows Husaak’s commitment of being at the forefront of Adventure Tourism in the Gulf. The rich heritage and diverse landscapes make it the perfect playground for outdoor adventure enthusiasts. From the vast deserts, striking sandstone mountains and ancient tombs of the north to the abandoned clifftop villages, wadis and lush green forests of the south, Saudi Arabia is a year round adventure destination. Husaak have opened 2 adventure centers within The Kingdom, The Outpost AlUla and The Outpost Tanomah.
AlUla, Medinah Province
In October 2020 Husaak opened The Outpost AlUla, Husaak’s first adventure center in Saudi Arabia. AlUla is a city 380 km north of Medina in north-western Saudi Arabia. Marvelous mountain ranges, virtually untouched make this hidden treasure the perfect playground for adventure enthusiasts. The area is well known for archaeological remnants, some over 2000 years old, and is home to Hegra or Al-Hijr (Arabic). Hegra is the first UNESCO World Heritage property to be inscribed in Saudi Arabia and the largest conserved site of the civilization of the Nabataeans south of Petra in Jordan.
Our team worked with the Royal Commission of AlUla to create a number of outdoor experiences with the aim of establishing AlUla as a key tourist destination in Saudi Arabia. Husaak welcomed over 5000 visitors to AlUla within the first 5 months, the following experiences will be available year round; hiking, mountain biking, stargazing and 4x4 safaris. Husaak’s signature 2 night weekend camping trips run from October to April, our adventure experts can also create custom multi day adventures for families and groups visiting AlUla.

Weather in AlUla - The temp can vary depending on the time of the year with lows of -5 C in Dec and Jan to highs of 50 C from June to August. In summer months the weather super hot during the day and very cold at night. In winter months warm clothes are a must. It can snow from time to time, prepare for freezing temperatures at night- time. If camping make sure you have an adequate sleeping bag and thermals. Rain is expected in winter months so bring a rain jacket with you.
Tanomah, Asir Region
In May 2021 Husaak opened The Outpost Tanmoah, Tanomah is known for stunning mountains and spectacular vistas. Located within the Asir region in southwestern Saudi Arabia, this area is home to some of the highest peaks in Saudi as well as wadis, waterfalls and lush green valleys. There are many mysterious abandoned villages wait to be discovered and .
At 2000m above sea level the Asir Provence is a year round travel destination. Husaak will have a full schedule of weekend camping trips from May 2021 as well as a range of day trips for those visiting the area. The team look forward to exploring more of the area and expanding the portfolio of adventures on offer. Husaak’s adventure experts can create bespoke itineraries within the Asir region for families and tour groups.

Weather in Asir Region - The weather is generally mild throughout the year, becoming noticeably cooler during the "low-sun" season. the region seldom sees temperatures rise above 35 °C (95.0 °F) during the course of the year. The bulk of rainfall occurs between February and April, with a secondary minor wet season in July and August. We recommend always packing a light rain jacket in summer months and warmer water proof clothing during winter months,
